When: Sunday, Dec. 11th 4-7pm
Where: will be sent with your rsvp, an email will go out with the info 12/9 (please tell us by 12/8)

We did this over the summer, to great success for all who participated.  Let's do it again!

a wonderful review for "Magdala" - by Valerie Gross

Magdala reminded me of The Mists of Avalon. Even if Magdala does not have the epic length of Zimmer Bradley’s reclaiming of the divine feminine, in my opinion it easily bears comparison with it. “
I was thrilled and honored by this review of my novel, "Magdala".  I wish you all this joy of being understood, by a total stranger.  Amazing.  Enjoy!

Day After Solstice Event - Ladies' Picnic and Positive Workout in the Park!

It was so nice, we're gonna do it twice!!  Last month's event was so lovely and well, positive, we should all rinse and repeat.  Only this time, we'll get all the gorgeous vibes of outdoor weather while we workout, and then eat under the trees.  My friend and ace Intensati workout teacher, Elizabeth, has volunteered to lead us again in a motivating, uplifting, aerobic-invigorating hour of exercise, and then, of course, we will reward ourselves with a luscious pot luck dinner.  Bring a vegetarian de-lish for 4-6 people to share.  Free to all, but do rsvp to me asap!!

Where: Meet at Columbus Circle under the big gold horse statue.  There is a really nice open field just inside the park that has good flat areas for working out.

When: Wednesday, June 22nd, 6:30, to work out, 7:45 to chow down.

What to wear and bring: Wear workout clothes and workout shoes, bring a towel and water. No other equipment needed except a willingness to give yourself a chance to live the life you love in a body you love!
For the potluck, please bring a vegetarian dish or drink to share for 4-6 people.

Can't wait to see you all!

What is Intensati???
A high energy aerobics class that combines easy dance-based choreography with some yoga and martial arts movement. what makes it such an incredible workout and different from anything that most of you have done before is that there is a vocal element involved. you will be invited to speak positive affirmations and thoughts out loud while exercising. as strange as that may sound to some of you, it makes the physical workout itself much stronger, you will burn more calories and increase your cardiovascular strength. the bigger and better effect of the workout happens on your attitude and spirit, though. you will leave class uplifted and with more belief in yourself than you had before. it's a wonderful experience and i hope to see you all there!

Athena Huckaby invites you to a women's spirituality festival! June 9-12- Pennsylvania

Where Womyn Gather is a women's spirituality festival that I've been attending since 2005.

The festival is held in Northeastern Pennsylvania and will be taking place June 9th through the 12th. Each year we honor a different aspect of the Goddess and a different element: this year the element is air and the Goddess aspect is the Maiden.

The festival is three to four days of experiential workshops, rituals, drumming, singing and exploration. Experience the Lakota Inipi Sweat Lodge, Red Temple, and Sacred Fire. There is Gyrlspace for the young and a Marketplace for all to enjoy the creations of craftswomyn, and the very reasonable admission price includes all of this plus lodging and three vegetarian meals per day.

Path to Personal Freedom - Breath & Meditation Workshop w/ Lisa Meta - Sat. 4/2

Are you experiencing frustration around your job, finances, health, relationships? Do you feel stuck or lost?

This workshop is designed to help you become more aware of deeply ingrained beliefs and thoughts you unconsciously create and hold on to, limiting your life experience. By realizing that thoughts actually shape reality, we can begin to shift our thoughts and actions.

Through the use of bioenergetic exercises and expressive free form dance we guide you into a space of body awareness and grounding. Once total physical presence is established the mind can also become aware and present. Biodynamic breath aides in quieting the mind and brings you into a deep meditative state.

Let go of the past and step into the present, recognize you have the ability to design your life and feel empowered instead of trapped.

This first workshop on personal freedom will be one out of a series of workshops that are dedicated to supporting you on your path to personal freedom. You will begin to develop healthy coping mechanisms that lay a new foundation for you to think from, while building your spiritual tool box.

We invite you to delve deep into self discovery on your path to personal freedom.

Co- Hosted by Lisa Meta

At Reflections Yoga, 250 W49 th St., Between 8th Ave & Broadway
Cost: $35

Space is limited! To reserve your spot please email:
urbanbreathnyc@gmail.com
Wear comfortable clothing and bring drinking water. This is an active workshop.
